Appointment of Auditor General


A vacancy exists for the position of Auditor-General.

Applications are invited from persons who are qualified under Article 158 of the Constitution of Seychelles.

The powers and functions of the Auditor-General are stipulated in the Auditor General Act, 2010 and Article 158 of the Seychelles Constitution.

The person should have extensive knowledge of Public Finance, Auditing or Public Finance Management, be of good standing and can effectively discharge the functions of the office of Auditor-General independently and impartially.

A person shall not be appointed Auditor-General unless the person has not less than seven years’ experience as an auditor or qualified accountant.

The salary, allowances, gratuity or pension of the Auditor-General shall be those as prescribed under the Constitutional Appointees’ Emoluments Act.
